Geopolitics? How boring! Don’t you have any other interesting subjects?
Hold on! Just give me a chance.
The aim here is not to prescribe sleeping pills, but to pique your curiosity. If you are totally hermetic to this theme, no worries. I’ll try and find some other stuff to tickle your fancy.
These are NOT summaries of the books; just teasers.
Just to reassure you, I would only suggest stuff that has been dumbed down so that I can understand and appreciate it.
For me, these books were a compelling read from start to finish.
In these current turbulent times, a grounding or a basic knowledge of geopolitics is essential. It can help you start to decipher what has been going on over the last 40 or so years (and many more). A period that most of us have lived through. Certain of us may actually have longer memories than others.
It may allow you to start to acquire an understanding of why certain Nations and states have acted as they have done and continue to do so.
It doesn’t mean you have to agree or condone their policies, their behaviour, their vision on society or on the world.
It should offer a different perspective to what most mainstream medias are pedalling to the masses.
Hopefully, you will take the time to read some of my suggestions.
And do give me feedback. I’d love to hear from you.
Some of these books really gave me the “WOW” effect or at least “Ah, I may not agree but I’m beginning to see…”. Check out this easy read by Jacques Attali “A Brief History Of The Future” to begin with.
Enjoy………
